Annual Tasting Summary 2019

Overview:

In 2019 the CV held 11 tastings including 47 different wines.  The Group ranked the bulk of them between good and excellent. Twenty-two wines received one or more ratings as “exceptional” and 16 got one or more marks only as “acceptable” ratings.  None was judged “mediocre”.  . The three wines that received the highest sum of excellent and exceptional marks are highlighted in the table in light green as the best wines. Of the wines judged best buys in each tasting, the three that scored the highest sum of excellent and exceptional marks are also listed below.

Best three wines of the year:

2014 Le Pas de L’Aigle, Pierre Amadieu, Gigondas (Tasting 211)
2015 COS – Cerasuolo di Vittoria Classico, DOCG (Tasting 215)
2015 Gravas Rojas, Concha y Toro, Puente Alto, Maipo (Tasting 206)

Best value for money:
